Fine Arts | 26.04.2025 - 16.11.2025

The 2025 edition of the European Month of Photography will focus on the theme Rethinking Photography.

The exhibition will explore the evolving nature of photography as both a medium and an art form. It invites artists and audiences to reconsider the role of photography in modern society, reflecting on how technological advancements and changing cultural contexts are reshaping our perception of images.

This theme follows the trend from previous editions where "rethinking" served as a lens to challenge conventional ideas—in 2021 with Rethinking Nature and in 2023 with Rethinking Identity. In 2025, the focus will be on how photography itself can be reimagined, encompassing a diverse range of styles, techniques and artistic expressions. The event will engage with contemporary debates surrounding digital photography, the manipulation of images and the role of visual media in the age of mass communication.
