Historicising lusophone (im)mobilities

In this presentation, we historicise lusophone presences and (im)mobilities into Luxembourg and discuss the imbrication of colonialism in lusophone migration patterns. We seek to contribute to nuanced discussion concerning their challenges and on how their social and work interactions are impacted by migration and language regimes of the host country, but also by their history, to some extent, leading to the reproduction, contestation and/or reversion of colonial hierarchies.
