Nature, a place of reverie

Sometimes prodigal and welcoming, sometimes harsh and impetuous, nature has fascinated man since the beginning. He has deified it, honoured it, respected it and then outraged it by trying to dominate it. However, in the imagination, nature remains a favourite place for reverie and introspection. Could it be its diversity, its unlimited horizons and its universal permanence in contrast to our own fragility that makes it so inspiring? Whatever the case, nature, its elements and the cycle of the seasons have always nourished our dreamlike capacity.
